Meet Vidarr, Main character from The Mask of the Serpent

Meet Vidarr, the Master Thief from Book 1 from the Mask of the Serpent series, The Awakening.

Vidarr, born into a world of chaos and collapse where his race is almost wiped out from internal warring and hunters who want to erase his kind from the face of their world, Aalunda. He grows up with a loving woman who took him in as an infant even though it was quite dangerous for her to do so. As a teen he watched her burned alive for raising him, a berserker.

In his rage, a vendetta fuels his next few years as he retaliates for the injustice he witnessed to the only person he had ever loved. There are warrants and large bounties out for him, dead or alive. But he always seems to get away. Kings tremble at the viciousness with which he, The Master Thief, enacts his revenge.

Then.

Then Vidarr meets another berserker, something he never thought possible. Aina, helps him find his way forward and even in Book 2 (Soon to be released) he becomes a Lord to his people own and together known as the Kindred, they reinvent their standing among the countries and even help defeat a common enemy with a King who a few years before would have just executed them.

Enjoy the stories, as the Kindred is born in Book 1 The Awakening, and then read as Vidarr and his lover struggle to come face to face with prejudice and betrayal while finding deep desire to find a heart that beats in sync.
